Today is: Put the Brakes on Fatalities Day!


Every year on October 10th drivers of New Jersey are asked to be “exceptionally careful” as a way to get one full day with zero fatal motor vehicle accidents. While on October 10, 2015 there was successfully zero fatal accidents, as of January 2016, there have been 409 motor vehicle accidents resulting in 432 fatalities. The victims were primarily the drivers of the vehicles and pedestrians.  On average, 1.52 people were killed every day according to the 2014 fatal motor vehicle accident statistics. Please be “exceptionally careful” always but try your best on October 10th.
